An invitation

There's a version of you that hasn't fully stepped forward yet.

You catch glimpses of her.

In the moments when you're deeply honest. When your guard drops. When you stop performing and stop trying to be who everyone else needs you to be.

But somewhere between who you are and how you're living, something keeps pulling you back. Back to old roles and beliefs. Back to old expectations. Back to the patterns that once protected you but now keep you small.

This retreat is an invitation to see those patterns clearly. To feel what you've been too busy to feel. To release what no longer belongs. And to reclaim the woman you've been all along.

All whilst in the middle of autumn, when the land itself is letting go.

The quiet weight

A life that looks good from the outside. And underneath, a familiar hum.

You're building things. Leading things. Holding things together. You are ambitious and capable and you've worked incredibly hard to get here. And yet there are inherited scripts running quietly in the background. You may recognize some of these.

  • 01

    Operating from autopilot.

Capable, accomplished, holding it all together, and quietly wondering: is this it? Is there more? And why can't I access it?

  • 02

Managing your life instead of participating in it.

Managing your image, your emotions, everyone else's experience of you. A low hum of hypervigilance underneath everything that, after so long, just feels like who you are.

  • 03

    Carrying patterns that aren't yours.

Strategies formed years ago by your family, your culture, your earliest sense of what was safe. They got you here. They are also the reason you feel stuck, exhausted, and disconnected from the part of you that actually knows what she wants.

  • 04

    Running on an outer scorecard.

Comparing. Achieving. Proving. Disconnected from the inner scorecard that would actually tell you if you're alive, if you're authentic, if you're connected to what matters.

  • 05

    Afraid of your own power.

Of being seen. Of taking up space. Of wanting what you want and saying it out loud. Of finding out that what you actually need requires you to change something you've been avoiding.

These patterns dissolve when you slow down long enough to understand what they're protecting you from, feel what's underneath, and respond to yourself differently. Over time, your mind and body learn that they no longer have to work so hard to keep you safe.

The vision

Imagine what becomes possible when you start living from your authentic nature.

  • 01You know yourself deeply enough to let your authentic self lead.
  • 02You see the protection mechanisms that have been running your life.
  • 03You author your life instead of reacting to it.
  • 04You trust that the highs and lows are shaping you into the woman you're meant to become.
  • 05You claim your desires without apology and find the community and practices that support your vision.
  • 06You feel expressed, seen, and appreciated for who you really are: your gifts, your wisdom, your voice.
  • 07You feel more alive, energized, and in flow with life itself.

When women lead from this place, they heal themselves, the people around them, and the collective.

A misty forest path in October

The Arc

Autumn is the most visible season of letting go. The trees release what they no longer need because holding on through winter would drain the very thing that keeps them alive. That is the arc of this weekend.

Release

What are you still holding onto that's draining your energy? What beliefs, roles, agreements, and protective patterns have you carried that once served you but are now weighing you down?

Reclaim

Once you let go of what isn't yours, what's left? What's been growing underneath all that managing and performing? Autumn clears the space for what is actually true to become visible.

  1. I

    Arrive & set down

Check-in between 2 and 5pm on Friday. An opening circle at 5:30, dinner at 7. A first honest naming of what you came to release.

  2. II

    Release

Breathwork and somatic practice. A working session on the emotional patterns and inherited scripts running in the background. A ritual to move what you have been too busy to feel.

  3. III

    Reclaim

Parts work, visualization, and pairs work on the woman underneath all the managing. Open hours to walk the land, sit in the sauna, rest, or connect. Dinner is long and unhurried.

  4. IV

    Root & return

Closing practice and integration planning so this doesn't evaporate on the drive home. You leave with practices, a clearer inner scorecard, and a 1:1 coaching call waiting for you one month out.

What clients say

Real shifts, in their own words

“Working with Roslyn has helped me find a clear sense of direction again and her support has helped me move forward with confidence and practical tools I can rely on. She’s shown me how to approach each challenge with a fresh perspective, which has made all the difference in my journey.  Instead of feeling overwhelmed, I now feel empowered and motivated to keep pushing forward. I’m grateful for the clarity and growth I’ve gained through our work together, and I feel ready to take on what’s next with a renewed sense of purpose.”

Ashley

CEO & Founder of Retreat

“As a working mom of two who has spent time working with several coaches over the last decade, I can say with conviction that my time with Roslyn was the most transformative. Through coaching, Roslyn helped me unpack the deep-rooted beliefs driving my burnout, particularly around money, work, and self worth. She guided me to explore what I truly need during this period and showed me how to take back my agency as a working parent. I learned to detach my self-worth from my work performance and create space for myself in ways that feel aligned and achievable. I am truly better equipped to navigate this challenging but rewarding chapter and incredibly grateful for her support. I can’t recommend her enough to any high-performing leaders who are feeling stretched thin.”

Amanda

Finance Leader

“Roslyn provides a compassionate, judgment-free space where I can unpack everything I am feeling and figure out what is really going on underneath it all. She helped me reconnect with what’s truly important to me, clarify my values, and set goals that align with them—along with a solid plan to make those goals happen. Thanks to her guidance, I’ve learned to prioritize my self-care, make real progress in both my personal and professional life, and truly see the value and impact I bring—not just in my work but as a human. If you’re looking for a coach who wholeheartedly believes in you, challenges the fears and negative stories holding you back, and helps you envision something bigger, I cannot recommend Roslyn more. Realizing that YOU are worth investing in, is a pretty special place to get to.”

Haileigh

Founder of Takoda Consulting

“Working with Cristina has been truly transformative. Throughout the program, I was able to go deeper into self-exploration and gain a clearer understanding of what my most expansive, authentic self looks like. It gave me the tools to start building a life that feels truly aligned. Since the program ended, I've been navigating the major transition of moving countries after a decade and so many of the foundational insights and inner resources I'm drawing on now were built during our time together. Thank you, Cristina, and to everyone in the group for holding such a powerful space.”

Aakriti

Sales @ Salesforce

“I reached out for coaching support from Cristina because at the time, I was feeling completely disconnected from what I really wanted, feeling disengaged with my career and not knowing how to deal with the stress this brought on. I thought her approach to regulating the nervous system and identifying what is holding you back have been brilliant. I've been given the tools to shift my mindset and in the 3 months we've worked together, I've been able to create opportunities for myself that I would have shyed away from previously. If you're looking for support to untangle career confusion and reconnect with yourself, I'd highly recommend Cristina!”

Mridu

Manufacturing Lead @ Scale Up

“I had reached the point of no clarity on where to go next, what skills I brought to the table, or how to navigate these dynamic times involving AI. I've learnt to trust my intuition, act deliberately, and accept that progression isn't linear, the biggest shift has been learning to trust myself far more than I did before. Cristina keeps you honest without it ever feeling punitive. She's genuinely adaptable, meeting you where you are rather than where a rigid programme expects you to be. I'm still taking the steps, but for the first time I feel confident they're the right ones. She'll give you something far more useful than a career plan. She'll teach you how to trust yourself.”

Nirav

Data & AI Consultant

“Your offering is a skilful blend of structure and intuition, of the masculine and feminine. I feel that your approach to coaching deeply respects the unknowable and uncontrollable aspects of life ('as human beings, we are less of a who and more of a when. We are a moment in time'). Yet you also balance this out, and you have designed an offering to help a person invoke tangible change in the here and now, with the parts of our lives that we do have control over. I will also say that you are very boundaried as a coach, which was one of the highlights about working with you. You maintained a healthy distance from me for the duration of our coaching programme which kept our relationship clean, clear, and free of enmeshment. We took true responsibility for ourselves in our respective roles in the relationship and this supported me with trusting you.”

Your facilitators

Cristina & Roslyn

We have both lived the experience of feeling underexpressed in our gifts and scared to be seen for who we really are. We've lived from protection and proving. We've done the inner work and taken the risks to move into a more aligned, expressive, and energizing way of working and living. We don't have it all figured out either. We're on the path with you.

Cristina Espinal

Facilitator & coach

Cristina is a coach, facilitator and founder of Play Big Careers. She's managed million-dollar projects, partnered with CEOs of billion-dollar companies, and spent a decade in strategy consulting and startup leadership working with global brands like L'Oréal, GSK, and Vodafone. She knows what it's like to push through and get on with things only to feel more disconnected. Her own experience of hitting that wall, and doing the work to come back home to herself, is what shapes how she coaches. Her approach combines career strategy with deeper identity and body-based work: the nervous system, the protective patterns, the internal voices that have been making decisions on your behalf. Outside of coaching, she loves reading historical fiction, exercising (running + weights), hosts a weekly Saturday walk in central London and is usually planning her next trip with her husband or to see family abroad.

Roslyn McLarty

Facilitator & coach

Roslyn is an executive coach, facilitator, and founder of Within — a platform where founders do the inner work so they can build meaningful, impactful businesses without losing themselves in the process. Before Within, she co-founded The GIST, a women-run sports media brand making sports more inclusive and accessible for millions of underserved fans. There, she was recognized on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list and backed by global brands like Facebook, Comcast NBC, and Billie Jean King. Towards the end of her time at The GIST, she hit a wall of founder burnout that kicked off a profound healing journey — one that brought her much closer to who she wants to be in this world. She came to understand that her burnout was a manifestation of misalignment from her authentic self; she'd adopted a persona of the "successful, put-together founder" and suppressed the parts of herself that needed to be seen and expressed in her work and life. Today she helps purpose-led founders scale their impact while staying rooted in who they are — blending her startup, CPA, and coaching training with her own ongoing healing journey.

Details

The things you'll want to know.

What time should I arrive and depart?
Arrival is anytime between 2 and 5pm on Friday, October 16th. Opening circle is at 5:30pm with dinner at 7. We close on Sunday afternoon.
Who is this for?
Woman-identifying and non-binary founders, leaders, and high-achieving professionals who are committed to, or curious about, self-development work and ready to go deeper. No specific practice or background required. Openness and willingness are enough.
What kind of inner work can I expect?
The work is body-based, not theoretical. That means breathwork, somatic practices, guided exercises in pairs and small groups, and facilitated conversations where you'll be invited to be honest about what's actually going on, and witnessed in it. Some of it will feel familiar (movement, reflection, journaling). Some of it will take you somewhere new (breathwork, working with the different parts of yourself that show up under stress). All of it is guided, and you go at your own pace.
Will there be downtime?
Yes. There is free time on Saturday afternoon and space between sessions to rest, integrate, walk the land, sit in the sauna, or connect organically.
How do I get to the house?
The house is a 2 hour drive from NYC or a 2.5 hour train ride from Penn Station. It is a 4 hour drive from Boston and a 7 hour drive from Toronto. We help match drivers with attendees who want to carpool.
How can I pay?
A 1/3 deposit holds your spot and the balance is due by September 16th. Monthly payment plans are available. If your company has a Learning & Development budget, we are happy to help you draft a letter to claim it.
Dietary needs?
Tell us on the application. Our chef handles gluten-free, vegetarian, and most allergies with real food, not sad substitutes.
